Attila the Stockbroker on Shelley!
In the Horsham District Year of Culture, The Shelley Memorial Project presents: An evening of energetic, radical, inspiring poetry and music.
Sussex’s radical social surrealist poet and musician Attila the Stockbroker performs his own work alongside that of Percy Bysshe Shelley, Horsham District’s most famous citizen and one of England’s greatest romantic and philosophical poets. This special evening demonstrates the enduring power of poetry to highlight the key social issues of our time and to encourage us all to think more deeply about them.
Atilla also performs songs from his critically acclaimed recent album ‘Restoration Tragedy’ combining early music and punk with songs about the radical movements and characters of the English Revolution of 1649 – 1660. Watch out for Crumhorn, recorder, mandola and sausage bassoon!
Don’t miss out on what is going to be one of the highlights of the Year of Culture!
