Creative Writing Workshop – 14/02/2019
Experiment with creative writing in a safe, supportive and fun environment, and, if you wish, share your writing with others. Led by a published author and experienced facilitator, these free workshops are open to any level of ability and focus on different creative exercises each session. These workshops are in partnership with New Writing South and suitable for under represented writers.
There will be six sessions in all from 3-5pm; you are welcome to come to all, any or as many as you like. Booking is recommended but not essential.
Tutor: Evlynn Sharp is a performance poet, playwright, creative arts facilitator and visiting lecturer. She has been the Writer in Residence at secure establishments such as HMP Lewes and HMP Belmarsh as well as with many organisations and charities including Surrey & Sussex Probation Trust, Charing Cross Hospital, East Grinstead Museum, Care for the Carers. Along with artwork by visual artist Sally Booth, her poetry of ‘Edges and Extremes’ was exhibited at the Tate Modern in London as well as at Geevor Tin Mine’s Hard Rock Gallery in Cornwall, Shetland Museum and Archives, and at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
