Horsham District Libraries 2019 Reading Challenge
As part of Horsham District Year of Culture, your local libraries are inviting you to take part in our 2019 Reading Challenge. Join us in making 12 reading resolutions that we hope will inspire you, challenge you and connect you to fellow readers in the district.
You might want to join as us an individual reader, looking to kick start a reading habit or get out of a reading rut. Or perhaps you would like to join us as part of a new or well established reading group. Maybe create a work based group with your colleagues? However you choose to be involved, everyone is very welcome to take up the challenge and join the conversation.
Download and print our Reading Planner or pick up a leaflet at your local library. Choose your titles, chart your progress and rate and review each title.
Follow our Horsham District Reading Challenge Facebook group or follow us on Twitter #HorshamDistrictReadingChallenge. Here’s where you will find fellow local readers to swap book ideas for the prompts and discuss your favourite (and least favourite) reads throughout the year.
We’ll also blog the experiences of our library staff, reading groups and local workplaces who are taking up the challenge.
At the end of the year join us for our celebration ‘Books Light Up Your Life’ event, where everyone who has taken part are welcome to come and celebrate our year of shared reading. We’ll look back on the books you read and all participants who have completed the challenge will be entered into a prize draw.
