JEREMY YOUNG Piano Recital
The concert is part of the Horsham Music Circle’s 77th Season.
Well known to Circle audiences, Jeremy Young was brought up in Horsham and began his music here. He now has a distinguished performing and teaching career that has gained him a reputation as one of the UK’s most respected and versatile chamber pianists. Jeremy has partnered many of the world’s most distinguished musicians. He has also appeared as solo recitalist at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, The Arts House (Singapore), Bridgewater Hall and the Southbank Centre. He is currently the Head of Chamber Music at the RNCM and tutor in piano and chamber music at Chethams School of Music. He returns to Horsham is this Year of Culture to present a recital and will play Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ Sonata Op.28, a selection from Grieg’s Lyric Suite, Debussy’s Pour le Piano, the Op.90 Impromptus by Schubert and Ravel’s Sonatine. The concert has been supported by the Horsham District Council Year of Culture 2019 Funding.
