Unitarian Church Heritage open day and ‘Climate Emergency’ exhibition
Horsham’s Unitarian Church, dating from 1721, will be open to all comers as part of our Year of Culture and the nationwide National Open Days Programme. Entry is free and guides will be on hand to inform visitors on the historic building, to display documents giving a timeline of the church’s original secretive foundation and to show a rolling photo projection detailing the church’s changing roles since those early days. Simultaneously, in the church’s extensive garden there will be a ‘Climate Emergency’ exhibition with Horsham and West Sussex conservation group stands demonstrating and explaining the varied activities and successes of our local groups’ in the work of promoting environmental sustainability.
Refreshment arrangements will offer tea, coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks and biscuits,sandwiches or scones to sustain individual visitors or families during or after their tour.
